au Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Goro Suzuki; hereinafter “au Renewable Energy”) and Hyperion Tokyo Inc.(Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Katsuhiko Suzuki; hereinafter “Hyperion Tokyo”) signed a partnership agreement (hereinafter “Agreement”) for the development of solar power plants in fiscal year 2025 on 27th.Sep, 2024, in order to further promote the renewable energy power generation business.

au Renewable Energy was established with the aim of constructing renewable energy power generation facilities and directly supplying the generated electricity to KDDI facilities such as base stations, communication buildings, and data centers, and began operations on 1st. Apr, 2023.

au Renewable Energy has now concluded a partnership agreement with Hyperion Tokyo, which has established a system that handles everything from land acquisition to complex applications, material purchases, and construction for solar power plant development, enabling various forms of electricity procurement according to customer needs, and will further strengthen and promote solar power plant development in 2025.

In this agreement, Hyperion Tokyo has agreed to a development plan for power plant development in 2025 that significantly exceeds the actual results for 2024, and the two companies will further strengthen their business collaboration to achieve au Renewable Energy’s development goals for 2025. Through this agreement, au Renewable Energy will accelerate efforts to realize a carbon-free society by 2050 by promoting renewable energy power generation projects and expanding the introduction of renewable energy.
